PASSION FOR 1%

Liberica is a coffee variety with less than 1% in world’s coffee production. From seed to cup, we are dedicated to specializing Liberica, in hope that through our focus on Liberica coffee, coffee lovers will enjoy with us our Passion for 1%.

With the mission to elevate Malaysia’s local coffee to specialty standards, My Liberica Specialty Coffee was founded in 2011 by Jason Liew – eldest son of plantation owner Liew Chow Kong.

Started from a cafe in JB Taman Molek, there are a total of five Johor outlets and one in Selangor currently.
To raise the standards of specialization, to develop the potential of Liberica, and to improve quality, My Liberica invested and built a new processing mill in its plantation in 2014. It became Malaysia’s first specialty coffee processing facility dedicated to Liberica species.

In 2019, My Liberica opened its flagship roastery in JB EcoHub to orchestrate an immersive coffee experience for coffee lovers, tourists and students. At the contemporary facility, visitors could witness and understand coffee roasting process, and also indulge in the My Liberica cafe experience that will be topped with surprises of on-going experiments and fruits of new collaborations.
